Welcome to HexBurn. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

The HexBurn service is operated by Roland Kaloczi, Prager Straße 26/3, 3580 Horn, Austria.

HexBurn is a free online privacy-first platform for creating and sharing self-destructing encrypted messages, PDFs, time capsules, secure links, and P2P encrypted chat.

All encryption and decryption is performed locally in your web browser using AES-256-GCM encryption. HexBurn processes all cryptographic operations client-side and does not collect any personal data. No personal information is stored, shared, or transmitted to our servers.

You agree to use HexBurn only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the service in any way that violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Create encrypted messages containing illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable content
• Use HexBurn for phishing, scams, malware distribution, or other malicious purposes
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Use automated means to access the service without our permission
• Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others

HexBurn does not require user registration or accounts. You can use all features of the service immediately without providing any personal information.

You retain all rights to the encrypted messages and content you create using HexBurn. We claim no ownership or intellectual property rights over your content.

Since all encryption happens client-side and we never have access to your unencrypted data, we cannot view, access, or control your content.

We strive to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time without notice.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HexBurn and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
• Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted through the service
• Any errors or omissions in any content
• Any encrypted messages you create or actions you take based on generated content
• Any content encrypted by users

User-generated content: Users are solely responsible for the content they encrypt using HexBurn. We assume no liability for misuse, illegal content, or damages arising from encrypted messages.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that all encrypted messages will function on all devices or platforms. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or secure.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HexBurn and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by HexBurn. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

We do not endorse or assume any responsibility for any third-party content that may be accessed through encrypted links generated using our service.

The HexBurn service, including its design, functionality, and original content (excluding user-generated encrypted messages), is owned by us and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. By using HexBurn, you agree to our privacy practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

We will update the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page when changes are made.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. Since no account registration is required, termination would involve blocking access to the service from specific IP addresses or implementing other technical measures.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Austria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court in Horn, Austria.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
